The 14 aspiring designers move into their new digs at a luxury New York City apartment and Heidi throws them a party. At the peak of the eating, drinking, and revelry, they are given their next design challenge -- use the clothes off their back. They will literally design outfits designed solely on the clothes they are wearing. The design could be anything, providing it is made only out of their existing clothing. Kirsten finds herself in a personal dilemma. She is wearing simply a t-shirt and a pair of jeans, along with a large and beautiful scarf. The scarf is the perfect for this challenge as it is a large and uncut piece of fabric, however it belonged to her grandmother and she is unwilling to cut it and it leaves her with very little to work with. In the end the judges decided on who wins and who is out by looking at a photo of each designer in the outfit they started with and the model on the runway with what they ended with.
